John is a local Blade-smith forming various knives out of steel blanks, used head saw blades, regular circular saw blades, plainer blades and mechanical cross files, bastard files and etc. His handle materials range from exotic hardwoods to fabricated macarta. John's cleavers are his passion and are very well-made. The cleavers are formidable knives for the hunter and the at home chef as well. Each knife is made with intricate care and detail.
Cliff Massey is John's understudy and has been making knives with John's tutelage for a couple of months. Primarily, Cliff focuses on making knives from mechanical files.
In addition, complimenting John's knives are his exotic hardwood cutting boards. They are beautiful and practical. The cutting boards come in various sizes and in an assortment of colors based on the wood used. The boards are sturdy and withstand everyday kitchen duties with ease.
